Calciphylaxis, or calcific uremic arteriolopathy, is a rare vascular disease that is seen in end stage renal disease and renal transplant patients; however, there are cases reported in literature with normal renal function but little systematic information is available on calciphylaxisfrom nonuremic causes. This article reviews the etio-pathogenesis, clinical features, laboratory abnormalities, diagnostic features and treatment of calciphylaxis.The materials used are the review and research articles as well as the case reports on calciphylaxisin patients with renal failure and Non-Uremic Causes.
