COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF MENTAL HEALTH OF MARRIED MEN AND WOMEN

Background: Psychological well-being and security is a critical factor in a man's regular day to day existence. Social aptitudes, behavioral aptitudes, and somebody's state of mind are quite recently a portion of the things that the human cerebrum creates at an early age. The present study was planned to compare mental health of married men and women. Materials and methods: For the study, we selected 40 married male and female teachers from local high schools. The evaluation of mental health of the subjects, Personal data sheet and Mental health scale (Bhatt and Geeda, 1992) were employed. The measurement of mental health was done for each subject and noted. The mean values of different groups were calculated and compared with respective groups. Results: The mental health of married men and women of low ages was higher as compared to married woman and men of high ages and the married subjects belonging to joint families experience higher level of mental health in contrast to subjects belonging to nuclear families. Conclusion: On comparing mental health of married men and women we found non-significant difference. Similarly, on comparing mental health of joint and nuclear families of married men and women we found non-significant difference.
