One of the most commonly used medications in dentistry is steroids, which has a strong immunosuppressive effect. Many oral disorders have seen a modernization in their treatment protocols thanks to corticosteroids. These are potent and powerful anti-inflammatory medications that resemble the hormone cortisol, which the body naturally produces. Their role is to reduce inflammation, especially when the inflammatory system is mistakenly activated by the body. |
